Imagine dropping out of your education, giving up your appartement and your job and leaving your safe life to travel around the world and make a difference. In 2015 a 22 year old Dane, Aske Jonathan Kreilgaard, did all that and traveled to Calais in France, where the sight of the nearby refugee camp changed his life forever. In collaboration with Theater Momentum, the Danish Refugee Council Youth Funen (DFUNK Fyn) invites you to an inspiring talk with Aske, who will not only tell you about his travels and experiences, but will also show you some of his art that was made during the trip. Aske's talk gives the audience an insight to one of the most notorious refugee camps in Europe. In the lecture, Aske will engage you to feel the loss and hope that accompanies people in flight, as well as try to answer these questions: Who are refugees? Where do they come from? What are real facts? and how can you meet this situation in the most constructive way? If you are as curious as we are, then hurry up and order your ticket now - it only costs 20 kr: The presentation lasts about 1 hour + a Q&A session afterwards.
The rest of the time you are welcome to see the art exhibition. There will be refreshments for student-friendly prices, as well as some cake baked by the volunteers.
