Gender Equality and Employment Lecture
Gender equality, especially in the work field, is extremely important. But, what happens in the EU regarding the topic? Are gender differences increasing or decreasing nowadays in the EU? Well, Gender differences in the workplace have slowly but steadily been decreasing throughout the EU. However, there are still large differences between member states on this vital and pressing social issue. So, in recognition of International Women’s’ Day on the 8th of March, ELSA Tilburg proudly presents Dr. Sonja Bekker, associate professor at Tilburg Law School and Jean Monnet chair holder on European Social Policy and Employment Relations who will give her insights on how the EU governs the issue of gender inequality in the workplace and some of the best-practices in this regard within the member states.
