Pre-Natal Pregnancy Yoga Course

The Yoga Space is delighted to announce our first pre-natal yoga course. The course is 6 weeks in duration and mamas to-be can choose to continue with our regular pregnancy class or design a sequence for home use.The course will include gentle yoga exercises and stretches to maintain fitness, mobility and posture during pregnancy all of which can help you prepare for the birthing process.During pregnancy women can often feel tense, exhausted and that their body lacks space. Yoga can help to create space in the body, ease tension and pain as well as reduce the physical and mental strain caused by pregnancy.During sessions as well as focusing on yoga poses for pregnancy we will look at breathing and relaxation techniques to support you during labour. Each session will also conclude with a therapeutic guided relaxation to aid the body’s recovery and improve energy levels.It’s also a great opportunity to meet other expectant mamas.
The course is suitable for pregnant ladies from 13 weeks pregnant - we advise that you discuss with your midwife or GP first. You can also let us know about any concerns you may have.You can attend sessions all the way until you give birth, regardless of your fitness level (unless otherwise advised by a medical professional).No experience of yoga is necessary.
