For English see below ANDREA DE VITIS Andrea De Vitis (Rome, 1985) kan gezien worden als een van de meest intrigerende gitaristen van zijn generatie. Hij studeerde af aan het “Morlacchi” Conservatorium (Perugia, Italy) in de klas van Leonardo De Angelis en zette zijn studies voort aan de “Segovia Guitar Academy” (Pordenone, Italy) onder Paolo Pegoraro en Adriano del Sal. Hij nam masterclasses met grote gitaristen zoals onder andere Oscar Ghiglia, Carlo Marchione, Arturo Tallini, Pavel Steidl, Frédéric Zigante. In de afgelopen jaren won hij meer dan 40 prijzen in vele internationale wedstrijden. Waaronder de eerste prijs op Guitar Masters 2016 in Wroclaw, Certamen Internacional “Julian Arcas” in Almerìa, Forum Gitarre Wien, Iserlohn Guitar Competition, Budapest Guitar Competition; De tweede prijs in de Guitar Foundation of America in Denver, “Pittaluga” International Competition in Alessandria (eerste prijs niet uitgereikt) en andere.
Als herkenning voor zijn artistieke verdiensten ontving hij in 2013 the “Golden Guitar Award” voor de beste opkomende gitarist van het jaar op de 18e International Guitar Convention “Pittaluga” in Alessandria.Hij gaf recitals in de meest prestigieuze concertzalen over de hele wereld and werden geprezen door zowel publiek als pers. Hij was daarnaast al meermaals te gast als solist met verschillende orkesten. zoals het Auto Kameralna (Polen), Anima Musicae (Hongarije, Orchestra Classica di Alessandria (Italy) and Capella State Orchestra (Russia). Zijn debut album “Colloquio with Andrés Segovia” uit 2015 kon rekenen op veel lof bij muziekcritici en publiek en werd bekroond met de “Golden guitar award for the best cd of the year” op het 22ste International Guitar Convention Pittaluga.
Hij is een vaak en graag gevraagd persoon om masterclasses te verzorgen op de grootste prestigieuze festivals. Sinds 2015 is Andrea De Vitis een D’addario artiest. In the last few years he won more than 40 prizes in many international competitions. Among the most important are: first prize at Guitar Masters 2016 in Wroclaw, Certamen Internacional “Julian Arcas” de Almerìa, Forum Gitarre Wien, Iserlohn Guitar Competition, Budapest Guitar Competition, Mercatali Guitar Competition, Kutna Hora Competition, Gargnano International Competition, Mottola International Competition; second prize at Guitar Foundation of America in Denver, “Pittaluga” International Competition in Alessandria (first prize not assigned) and “Frauchi” International Competition in Moscow (first prize not assigned).
As a recognition of his artistic merit, in 2013 he received the “Golden guitar award” for the best up-and- coming guitarist of the year at the 18th International Guitar Convention “Pittaluga” held in Alessandria. Andrea De Vitis has performed in prestigious concert halls all over the world and his recitals have been acclaimed by audience and press. He is invited to play with orchestras on regular basis. His debut album “Colloquio with Andrés Segovia” from 2015, gained a great success with both critics and audience and it received the “Golden guitar award for the best cd of the year” at the 22th International Guitar Convention Pittaluga.He is frequently asked to teach masterclasses in prestigious festivals (Conservatorium Maastricht, Poznan Academy, Hochschule fur Musik Stuttgart, Copenhagen Royal Academy of Music, Budapest Guitar Festival, Kutna Hora guitar Festival).
