Already in his teens, he created a unique interaction between his trembling low-key voice, simple and effective guitar play and lyrics seasoned with experience beyond his years. He finds his musical inspirations in legends like Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Patti Smith and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, as well as modern acts like Radiohead, St.
Vincent, Fiona Apple and Wilco. The Sun Days - The Sun Days’ shimmering indie pop captured the hearts of the blogosphere with the single ‘Don’t Need To Be Them’: Stereogum called them ‘one of the best new bands in the world’, and Pitchfork also gave them some love. The Sun Days follow a deep tradition of independent bands from Gothenburg whose music is life-or-death, packed with unstoppable melodies and a frontperson with crystal-clear vocals. The results are classic pop gold. Need For Speed - (INFO COMING SOON) Stilla Havet - Elias Eriksson began his musical journey as frontman of Boris & the Jeltsins.
After two brilliant albums, he began collaborating with other artists and an idea of a solo project came up. Focusing on melodies, an debut album was recorded as Stilla Havet. The album is a collection of songs that crack and rumble. Panting words, electrical discharges, messages from a contemporary that often feels hopeless, all with the most gorgeous melodies you can imagine. A super sharp hybrid of pop and postpunk that had the music press call it one of the best debut albums of the year.
